I absolutely LOVE this saying that Oprah spoke in her 25th Anniversary Finale episode.  Lately I have been hyper aware of my ability to tap into energies within my own body, my environments as well as from those I am surrounded by.

This quote represents how I feel about the sacredness of my own energy.  When you are on a journey of self-love and acceptance, you MUST commit to managing and setting boundries with people and environments that fuck with your mojo.

LOVE can be defined as a strong affection for another, a dedication to someone or it could be for our spouse, our family, our friends…

What I’ve come to be aware of in my daily life, is that LOVE is a form of energy.

We are surrounded by energy.

We ourselves are energy.

The source of this energy is love.

Love is the highest form of energy.

Since love vibrates at the highest frequency, it is seen as the greatest form of energy in life and recognized as the level playing field of what brings us all together in consciousness.

Those who are in love vibrate at high frequency and can get that frequency throughout the mind and emotions just by recalling the feeling of being in pleasant situations with the beloved ones.

Ricardo Rojas,  wrote at http://www.astrostar.com/LoveEnergy.htm

“The lack of love opens the door to inferior beings that enter with arms charged with negativity, anxiety, fear, sadness, hate, phobia, etc. Love nourishes health. Negative emotions nourish illness.

Love can heal the body, as a bio-field reader shows. The healing love is not really our love. The healing love is unlimited God’s love. We are channels that conduct God’s love energy for healing. Our love energy is limited.

Healing love energy flows through healers’ hands into diseased organs of a sick person’s bodies when healers touch those areas. We do not help others by identifying with other’s pain. We do help them by channeling extra Love energy needed to move them beyond their pain.

Today, when every day is a nightmare for many people, when depression treatments are so in demand, it is good to remember that love energy generates feelings of joy and happiness in both the receiver and the giver. It produces a flow of physical energy that feeds not only the physical body but the entire being. When you smile and people smile back, love energy has been given out and returned.

If we continuously hold only love in our hearts, we will notice whatever is not in alignment with harmony. We may have to deal with our suppressed remorse, resentment, fear or attachment. We need to clean out our subconscious. We have to release all the low frequency energy. With patience and through the regular practice of meditation, we can accomplish this important task.

Prosperity is dependent on having more love in our life. When we love ourselves we are in condition to give love to others. Fear blocks higher energy levels and limits our reserves of love.

As said before, love is the most powerful healing energy and it flows by lovingly touching. Our inability to love ourselves, or to give and receive love from others, is the cause of all illnesses. Love is the best natural cure.”

My own journey into holding only LOVE in my heart for others begins with LOVing myself.  That’s what LiL is all about.  Truly, wholly, authentically loving LiLEach and every day, I see LOVE.

I see the power to heal hurts, pains and calm fears through loving.

Yet, my journey to self-love has been so twisted.  What I do hold close to my heart is that “love is the most powerful healing energy.”

With my entire healing journey being laid out for the world to see, sprinkled in these pages of LiL,  I embody the notion that we are responsible for the LOVE we bring into any space.

I ask you…are you conscious of the LOVE you bring into a given space?

Leave me a comment and let me know how you mindful manage your energies.

It’s SOUPER SUNDAY at our house…COACH and I have decided it’s a new tradition and we are sticking to it! (Well, at least for the fall + winter months)

Since I’m a vegan/vegetarian/flexitarian/present moment kind of eater (I promise I’ll expand on this in future posts) and COACH is a meat eater, we have definitely had to get creative in how we plan our meals.  I simply LOVE and treasure the days where we actually have time to eat a meal together, let alone COOK one together, so Souper Sunday is a special time for us.

We got only our 2nd (hardly believable) snowfall here in Minnesota yesterday, so it was the perfect setting for a lazy, yet productive Sunday with lots of COACH + LiL time.

We started the day by hitting up church, and then I made up this scrumptious and healthy PUMPKIN PROTEIN SHAKE.

After watching our beloved Minnesota Vikings have another EPIC lose on NFL Sunday, COACH and I took the time to head out for a much need Winter Wonderland nature walk.  We are blessed in Minnesota to have plenty of parks, bike + walking paths, as well as an abundant number of nature centers and places to just simply be with nature.

There is this park called Lamplighter Park that we walk through to get to the nature center, and COACH loves to refer to it as my park :) I’m a hockey player (high school + college) and for those unfamiliar with some hockey slang, when one “lights the lamp” in hockey…it means they’ve scored a goal.  For whatever reason, he seems to think I was quite the sniper back in the day, which is totally NOT the case but I will say it’s one of those amazing things I LOVE about COACH…he’s goes out of his way to make me feel special and show how proud he is of me.  Even if it comes as a result of him trying to be cute + funny.  I’ll take it!

Yes, I am totally wearing my old hockey gear which I realize is total mismatched, but let me tell you when a sista knows she’s gonna be cold, she’ll put on whatever she needs to in order to stay warm.  Plus, I couldn’t take my photo at Lamplighter Park without some hockey duds to get me inspired, right?  Honestly, I love fashion and enjoy looking cute when appropriate…but there is also a time and a place where a girl will stop at nothing to make sure she stays warm.

I mean, seriously…how many times have you ever  shot videos for a blog in the North Woods of Minnesota when it’s 30 below windchill out?  I didn’t think so…well, I sure all hell did.  Check out this video from last New Year’s Eve up at the family cabin that I shot for my self-titled website lindseytibesar.com.  If you have time, watch all the way til’ the end, you might just even laugh!

It’s totally ridiculous, I know…but if I can’t learn to laugh at myself I know I never embrace the true joys in life.  It’s all part of the journey folks.  One, I am simply  in love with.

Lastly we ended our LOVE filled day with SOUPER SUNDAY and cooked off our own rendition of Potato Corn Chowder.  His will Italian Sausage and a Winter Ale reduction, and Hers with lots of veggies and don’t forget the Garlic!

Thought For Today

The holiday season is in the air!  Can you smell it?

Cookies in the oven, soups simmering on the stove, the fragrant needles on the Fraser Fir in the living room?! Oh yummy yummy yummy!  I simply adore the smells of Christmas.

What I LOVE most about Christmas time is the opportunity for reflection.  It’s the ending of a year gone by, the transition into a new one and the chance to remember those you love whether earth bound or not, near or far it’s simply a gentle reminder to take time to reflect.

Honestly, I am not sure how many people really take time to do that, but with being in love with the process of becoming + being my true authentic self, I’ve realize what Christmas is NOT about for me and truly what it is about.

Have you ever wanted to be a little like Martha Stewart?  Ok, maybe you haven’t and in all honestly I like Martha Stewart’s tenacity in the way she’s built her empire, but I like to think I have my own way of being Martha just in a LiL kind of way.

In college my friends often referred to me as Martha because I always had my room decorated to a “T,” put up themed decor for every holiday and simply engrained myself in crafty type activities.  So it goes I LOVE  any type of craft project, decor, gift wrapping, giving, entertaining and party planning, and just about everything in between.

Yes, I LOVE all things fancy + unique.  What a better way to express yourself than to simply do what you want when it comes to decor.  I grew up with the traditional fake tree with ornaments made by my  siblings  and me with ones that my mom herself crafted thrown into the mix.  Now, my family on the LiL side, makes the trek to a Tree Farm the day after Thanksgiving to cut down our own real trees.  It’s become quite the Griswold type Family affair…you can picture it right?  Let me humor you.

Perfect.  Well, here’s my 2011 Christmas Tree!  I take such pride in the LOVE that I pour into this tree.  For as long as I can remember I would sit in front of the family tree, all alone listening to Christmas Carols and connecting to my grandmother who had passed years prior.  It was strange to me at the time, however as my consciousness has grown and spiritual life has expanded and opened to all that is available to me, I now know that that connection I felt was true, real, authentic and whole.  I wonder what it would have been like to really connect with my Grandma had I been more aware back then?  Alas, I will be in love with the process and stay present moment with the here and now.  I can’t wait to show you my gift wrapping charade this coming weekend.  It’s going to be a P-a-r-t-a-y! In the meantime, if you want to check out a funny video I made earlier this year…you’ll get a taste of a day in the life of LiL and a sneak peak at my ninja wrapping skills!

Love is the essentially all we need to survive in our crazy world.  Twas the reason this blog was birthed…to embrace and spread the LOVE  that is and has been present to all of us our entire lives.

Thought for Today

“Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas-time.”

It’s a big day in our house.

When a culmination of hard work, intense passion + a love of the game comes together dreams start to come true.

Today marks the official day the COACH takes the reigns as a Head High School Basketball Coach and the day that I am official the Head Coach’s wife.  It’s been his dream ever since I’ve know him, and the I am inspired daily by his sheer commitment to his craft.

COACH takes a ton of pride in being the best coach he can be…something I admire as all I’ve ever wanted for us is to live on purpose within our passions and to fully embrace what we are here to do on this earth.

As you may come to find out, I L-O-V-E to give gifts!  I mean com’mon who doesn’t love a surprise gift when you are least expecting it?  COACH was due to step up his wardrobe game a bit and who better than moi to get the job done.  Some stripes to match the school colors of his new helm and a few words of encouragement.

Doesn’t he look handsome?  THAT’S MY COACH!

While I am madly, deeply and whole-heartedly in love with COACH, when you commit to being “Married To The Game,” it comes at a sacrifice.  The time, effort and energy invested in the lives of these young men is commendable and something I take pride in watching him do, and it also comes at the cost of being married to the game at all times.

Something that has been on my heart for a long time was creating a community around the life of being a coaches’ wife.  While there are some social networks out there to connect with other coaches wives around the country, I believe part of my purpose is to connect women locally.  Stay tuned for all the yummy ideas I have up my sleeve on this one!

Tonight I watched my man coach is heart out.  So, maybe the outcome wasn’t in his favor–but let me tell you, I was so filled with pride, LOVE  and sincere euphoria watching him live out his dreams.

I’ll keep perspective on the loss.  It certainly won’t be the last!

Hey, I’m Lindsey In Love (aka LiL).

This blog here is my baby.  Literally a baby I birth on December 1, 2011.

It’s a long time coming, though.  Miss Thang here (that’s me) bought the domain name lindseyinlove.com in February of 2009.
I’ve punished myself for not conceiving sooner.  I’ve put out self-defeating thoughts in regards to my ability to carry this through, and I’ve RESISTED bringing this baby into the world.

Why you ask?  It’s a great question and one that I plan to answer over time.  Along with so many others things, I am fascinating, passionate about and completely enthralled with conscious conception, holistic birthing and all things baby! (We’ll get into that more in the future, but for now…just hear me out, as it applies not only to physical birthing of a new life and soul into this world, but also birthing a new me!)

Back in May 2009, LiL was not ready to be conceived.  LiL was and certainly is on my mind daily, however I knew I hadn’t prepared myself that way that I needed to in order to do this journey of mine justice.  You see, I was recently laid off from my J-O-B, happy to be out of an environment that wasn’t fostering joy or happiness, yet so unclear and uncertain of myself.  Despite the fear, doubt + unknown…the space that was created within and around me allowed some incredible life altering shifts to start taking place in my life.

A glimpse of me + my hubs (aka Coach)

So, for now…I introduce the birth of Lindsey In Love with my text message to GOD + The Universe.  It’s allowed me peace in the process and a knowing that all is exactly as it should be.

Dearest Gracious God + Glorious Universe,

Your beauty + wonder continues to amaze me. How can it be that I see your greatness and still resist your gentle reminders to simply trust all that is well?

I know you are doing your part to provide me with the insights, love and tools to live out my passion and purpose in this world, and I appreciate that no matter the tears I cry, the frustration that ensues…you continue to provide.

My request to you this love filled day, is for continued clarity and confidence around my purpose. I pray for self-acceptance and self-love so that I may experience all the acceptance and love that others wish to bestow upon me.

In return for your blessings and gifts dear Universe, I know it take some honest self-reflection and commitment to change on my part. I’ve become a person that hides from my greatness and isn’t living in her truth. The energy I bring into any space or situation is fully under my control and I promise to you that this present moment awareness is what I commit to in order to fully realize the path you have chosen for me and my future.

Dear Universe I am at the point of breaking down to have some serious breakthroughs. I lovingly release my words and intentions to you knowing full well that I am whole, loving, loved and worthy of all that you have in store. Thank you for ALWAYS whispering the truth to me.

Blessed by your Amazing Ways,
